Today I visited a small energy efficient village in the Black Forest region. The village produces its own energy via solar, wind and water energy as well as other renewable technologies. We finished our day in Vogtsbaurernhof, an outdoor museum dealing with Black Forest culture and history. We arrived in Munich, Germany tonight. Tomorrow we will visit the Dachau Concentration Camp.
I am excited to take my students on this journey with me. I am eager to bring back the German history and culture and connect this with our curriculum. My intent is to learn more about the advancements with Germany's renewable energy and help my students and Willow Springs Elementary imagine different futures and the role that they can play in the world.
